Brand Name: Blacksign
Tagline: Premium Streetwear
Client: Blacksign Apparel

Brand Overview:

Blacksign is a high-end streetwear label born from the fusion of underground culture and clean, luxury aesthetics. Based in London but rooted in global urban influence, Blacksign creates premium apparel that reflects confidence, grit, and identity. Their motto: “What you wear should speak louder than words.”

The brand is unapologetically bold, designed for creatives, skaters, and style disruptors who live by their own rules. Blacksign positions itself at the intersection of streetwear authenticity and refined design — minimal, elevated, and impactful.

Logo & Identity Concept:

The client approached us with a clear directive: “No gimmicks. Just presence.” We focused on building a mark that could stand as a badge of allegiance for those who wear the brand — a clean, sharp, and modern type-based logo with just enough edge to evoke power.

The logo is monochrome to reflect the brand's minimalist, versatile vibe — something that could work across embroidery, oversized back prints, and even stitched patches.

The wordmark uses a custom geometric sans serif, modified to add slight angular tension to characters like “K” and “G,” reinforcing strength and attitude. We enclosed the “B” icon in a bold shield-like shape, suggesting protection, status, and structure. The badge can be used independently across hats, hoodies, and accessories.

The subtitle “PREMIUM STREETWEAR” is clean and narrow-spaced to balance the boldness of the logotype. It gives the brand a grounded tone — confident, yet measured.

Design Process:

We started by sketching wordmarks inspired by signage, brutalist architecture, and 90s underground zines. We explored the idea of identity as rebellion — and aimed for a look that could feel equally at home in a fashion magazine and spray-painted on a wall.

Several icon concepts were explored, but the shielded “B” stood out for its clarity, versatility, and symbolic weight. The final design passed wearability tests (across different fabrics, materials, and surfaces) and was optimized for both screen and print, from clothing tags to billboard campaigns.
