LOGO DESIGN PROCESS — HOW WE BUILT THE BURN
Designing the EMBERLINE logo wasn’t about making something cool. It was about crafting a symbol that commands attention and radiates power. Every curve, every gradient, every letter was chosen with precision and purpose. Here’s how we built the flame:
1. Concept Development
We started with a single idea: rebellion through resilience. The flame became our north star—not just fire for fire’s sake, but an emblem of persistence, energy, and rebirth. From this, the stylized flame icon was born. Abstract yet primal. Clean but fierce. It evokes movement and danger—controlled chaos. Just like the brand.
2. Color Psychology
Black for the backdrop—because darkness makes fire brighter. Ember orange and molten red formed the gradient, representing energy, transformation, and intensity. This palette wasn’t chosen—it demanded to be used. The glow effect gives the logo life, like it's ready to leap off the screen (or hoodie).
3. Typography with Impact
We chose a bold, industrial sans-serif typeface for "EMBERLINE"—tight tracking, solid footing, built for visual dominance. The text mirrors the heat of the flame, subtly gradient-fused from red to yellow, tying it all together without compromise.
4. Versatility in Application
The logo had to work everywhere—from fabric to digital, on hoodies and in headlines. We tested it in monochrome, reversed it on dark and light backgrounds, and pressure-tested its scalability. The result? A mark that hits hard at every size and across every platform.
